To find EAP network providers

To find network counselors and access up to six free visits per issue per year, log on to Cigna's website and follow these steps:

  • Click the Search Now button on the homepage.
  • If you are looking for a provider who primarily treats a specific issue, anxiety for example, select from the choices shown and click Continue (or click Skip to go directly to the next step).
  • From here you can search for providers based on whether you prefer in-person or virtual visits.
    • In-person visits: Under See a Local Provider, click View Results to find Cigna EAP providers near you.
    • Virtual visits (iOS, Android, and web): Under Go Virtual, click Continue to find options for virtual care. In addition to the EAP network, Cigna has partnered with leading mental health companies in the industry, such as Talkspace, to provide you with broad access to virtual therapy services. Depending on where you live, multiple options for virtual care may be available.

EAP code required to access free visits

To access your free visits, whether in-person or virtual, you will need to give the counselor an EAP code, available from Cigna's website or by calling the EAP. If using Talkspace or another mental health company through Cigna’s website, click Get an EAP Code to the right of the screen, provide the information requested, and click Submit. Once you receive your code, click the Connect button to enter the company’s website. You will then need to follow the prompts to create a profile, verify your coverage, and enter your EAP code before being matched with a therapist to begin treatment.

If you need help locating or making an appointment with an EAP network provider, call the EAP (or use the live chat feature on Cigna's website) and tell them you'd like to fast track an appointment with a network counselor. You will be given names and contact information for Cigna EAP network providers who have available appointments within the next five business days. You are then responsible for contacting the provider and making the appointment; EAP advocates cannot make appointments on your behalf.
