Our live webinars cover a topic in one of four areas of wholeness — spiritual, health, financial, or vocational well-being.

Board University webinars are for pastors, church workers, and employees of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)-affiliated employers who participate in the Benefits Plan of the PC(USA) — at no cost to you.

Webinars last one hour and require a computer, internet access, and computer speakers or a telephone. Webinar attendees are awarded 50 Call to Health points.

Tax Tips: 2023 Tax Update and Federal Tax Return

Join Susan Holstedt, IRS enrolled agent and owner of S&H Tax Service, and Jacqueline Boersema, certified financial planner and Director of Financial Education at the Board of Pensions, as they discuss tax tips for taxpayers who have not yet filed their 2022 federal tax return. During the last 30 minutes of the webinar, Susan and Jacqueline will offer tax tips specifically for clergy.

About the speakers

Susan Holstedt owns S&H Tax Service and is enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS. She has been preparing individual tax returns for more than 30 years and often consults with sessions and presbyteries to develop compensation guidelines and maximize pastors' packages, particularly in small churches. Susan also worked as a paraplanner for a team of financial advisers and serves as a finance faculty member for CREDO. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Jacqueline Boersema is the Director of Financial Education at the Board of Pensions. She has 30 years of financial services experience in banking and accounting where she advised clients in tax and financial planning. She is a certified financial planner, holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and is an elder at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she has served as moderator of the Finance, Investment, and Endowment committees.
