Covenant Package
The Covenant Package gives employees access to benefits that help them thrive in all areas of life. This package provides critical income protection at a value that can’t be found on the commercial marketplace.
Who’s eligible
Any employee working 20 hours or more per week may be eligible for this package, regardless of ordination, including:
- employees who are not ministers
- ministers of the Word and Sacrament serving in congregational settings (not installed)
- ministers of the Word and Sacrament serving outside of congregational settings
Cost
Dues are 10% of the employee’s effective salary, paid entirely by the congregation or employer.

The Covenant Package offers holistic benefits that help members thrive:
- The Defined Benefit Pension Plan provides guaranteed monthly income throughout retirement.
- The Death and Disability Plan offers peace of mind and income security.
- The Temporary Disability Plan provides partial income to employees if they become unable to work because of a short-term sickness or injury.
- The Mental Well-Being and Employee Assistance Plan includes access to in-person and online counseling, mental health care navigation, financial and legal assistance, resources for child and senior care, and more.
