Telemedicine benefits
If you are enrolled in one of the three medical options (PPO, EPO, or HDHP), you have access to a telemedicine option, provided by Teladoc Health. With Teladoc Health, you can consult with a doctor, anytime, anywhere, for less than the cost of an office visit.
The telemedicine option, provided by Teladoc Health, gives you 24/7 access to U.S. board-certified doctors through the convenience of phone, video, or mobile app visits. Teladoc Health does not replace your primary care physician. It is a convenient, affordable option that allows you to consult with a physician when a trip to your doctor's office isn't practical, such as when you are traveling or in the middle of the night.
Within minutes, you can speak to a doctor who can diagnose and treat — as well as prescribe medication, when appropriate — many acute medical conditions:
- sinus problems
- bronchitis
- allergies
- cold and flu symptoms
- respiratory infections
- ear infections
With your consent, Teladoc Health will provide information about your Teladoc consult to your primary care physician.
Cost
If you are enrolled in PPO or EPO, you pay just a $10 copay for each Teladoc Health consult.
If you are enrolled in the HDHP, you are responsible for the entire cost of the visit until you've paid your annual deductible after which you pay 20% of the cost, until you reach the total out-of-pocket maximum amount. Although you must pay the deductible, the cost of a telemedicine visit through Teladoc Health ($59 in 2026) can be considerably less than a trip to the doctor’s office. You also can use funds in a health savings account to pay for the visit.

Before using Teladoc Health for the first time, set up an account:

Visit the Teladoc Health website, click Register Now, and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Log in, select Medical history under Health Info, and complete the questions; then click Save.
- Request a consult.
Be sure to update your account if your medical information or personal details, such as your address, change. Keeping your information up to date will help you get the most from your benefits.
Teladoc Health mobile app
With the Teladoc mobile app, you can schedule a consult with a doctor, manage your medical history, or send a prescription to the nearest pharmacy — all from the palm of your hand. To download the free app, open the Apple app store or Google app store and search for Teladoc Health.
