To support the efforts of Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations program participants to reduce — and eliminate — educational debt, the Board of Pensions has partnered with PeopleJoy, an educational debt reduction firm.

If you are a pastor participating in the Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations program, and you decide to apply grant funds toward your educational debt, a PeopleJoy Educational Debt Reduction Firm representative will contact you via email.

By working with your personal student loan coach, you will be able to:

  • Understand your student loans. A comprehensive review of your loans, both private and federal, will be provided.
  • Determine eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Understand the PSLF program and find out if you qualify for loan forgiveness.
  • Navigate the array of repayment options. Remove the hassle and confusion of the many repayment programs available as PeopleJoy details your options for repayment.

Along with a personal loan coach, you also have access to resources, such as newsletters, blog posts, and a top-notch customer service team.

As a Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations participant, you can receive up to $10,000 in student loan assistance that will be paid directly to your student loan servicer in one lump sum. You choose exactly how you want it applied to your loans.

If you are a current program participant and have questions about the e-learning modules, call the program administrator at 215-587-7219 or email them. If you have questions about eligibility for or access to Benefits Connect, call the Board of Pensions at 800-773-7752 (800-PRESPLAN) Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
