2021 Polity, Benefits, and Mission Conference

This conference, formerly the Mid Council Leaders Gathering, was held October 14-15, 2021. Thank you to all who attended.

Polity, Benefits, and Mission Conference

​Co-sponsored by the Office of the General Assembly, The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and the Presbyterian Mission Agency, the 2021 Polity, Benefits, and Mission Conference is a virtual event to be held October 14-15, 2021, 11:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. ET each day, with a break in the middle.   

Formerly the Mid Council Leaders Gathering, this event is an opportunity to

  • engage mid council leaders regarding polity, benefits, and mission;
  • share common concerns;
  • discuss the changing nature of the Church; and
  • discern our common life together.

The 2021 Polity, Benefits, and Mission Conference has been designed specifically for administrative, ecclesiastical, and programmatic leaders of mid councils.

Program highlights

Attendees will hear from leaders of the three sponsoring agencies and participate in discussions on the following topics:

  • a preview of the 225th General Assembly (2022), including an information session and a question-and-answer period
  • an update on the Matthew 25 Initiative
  • an overview of benefits and programs offered through the Board of Pensions, including the path to retirement, the Assistance Program, and split service and benefits 

Time will be devoted each day to Bible study and reflection.

Registration for the 2021 Polity, Benefits, and Mission Conference is free.
