Resources to help find resilience in a volatile financial market

March 31, 2020

During these uncertain times, Fidelity has information and resources to help you navigate a volatile market and your financial future.

Amid uncertainty at home and abroad, you may have concerns about personal finances and the recent investment performance of your retirement savings. Anxiety about the economy, stock market volatility, and the long-term outlook is normal. Fidelity Investments, recordkeeper for the Retirement Savings Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), has resources that can help.

Find up-to-date resources

Fidelity’s COVID-19 Resource Center* offers timely information and perspective for your money, health, work, and life. There, you’ll find market insights, strategies for uncertain times, and other related topics, such as dealing with stress, budgeting, and replacing lost income. You’ll also find resources to help maintain perspective in today’s volatile investment market.**

If you participate in the Retirement Savings Plan, log in to NetBenefits and select the COVID-29 Resource Center link on your home page for weekly expert insights, answers to questions about your account, and information about managing emotions during market cycles that can help you be a better investor. Through NetBenefits, you also have 24/7 access to investment strategies, investment options, and the ability to view and make changes to your investments.

These resources will be updated as new information and materials become available, so bookmark either site and be sure to check back periodically.

Focus on the long-term goal

It may be difficult to hold steady with your retirement savings strategy in these uncertain times. But don’t give up. According to Fidelity Investments, in previous recessions, some of the strongest market returns have often occurred when news headlines seemed the bleakest. Stay focused on your goals and remember that you’re in this for the long-term.
