Synod of the Northeast and the Presbytery of Philadelphia

The Reverend Dr. Allison K. Seed joined the Board in January 2011. Previously, she served 15 years as pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Independence, Missouri.

Among her various assignments and appointments in the presbytery and Synod of Mid-America, Allison served as Moderator of Heartland Presbytery and two terms as Chair of the Heartland Presbytery Council. She served two years as Chair of the General Assembly Council. Allison was also on the Review Committee of the Whole of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (Six Agency Review Committee) and the Review Committee for the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation.

Allison holds a bachelor’s from Duke University, Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary. Her region comprises presbyteries in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersey, and the Presbytery of Philadelphia.
