Getting in Shape Fiscally

Getting in Shape Fiscally is a one-day seminar to help you get — and stay — fiscally fit.

Giving and receiving are spiritual acts. So, too, are purchasing a home for our families and saving funds for retirement. Financial planning and management, then, are an important dimension of wholeness and spiritual health.

The Board of Pensions Education team offers Getting in Shape Fiscally, a one-day seminar for seminarians, plan members, and their guests, to help you get — and stay — fiscally fit. The seminar covers the Benefits Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and personal financial planning, explaining how to leverage your benefits coverage and better manage your finances.

During Getting in Shape Fiscally, you will

  • define your current income and net worth;
  • develop a plan to better use your benefits;
  • define effective salary, terms of call, and taxation issues;
  • establish a routine for debt reduction, saving, and investing for yourself (and your family); and
  • analyze your current estate plan.
