“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of one body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. . . . God has so arranged the body . . . that there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.”

1 Corinthians 12:12, 24-26 NRSV

What is Stewardship of Self ?

Stewardship of Self is a shared responsibility to improve Plan members’ lives through the effective use of Board of Pensions plans, programs, and services and a personal commitment to self care.

Stewardship of Self reflects the community nature of the Benefits Plan in which we are all called upon to care for "one body." Using the plans, programs, and services of the Benefits Plan and the Assistance Program to fulfill this responsibility develops the spiritual, vocational, financial, and health aspects of your life.
