Pastors: Vocational Leadership Needs

Research shows that a variety of stressors, including education debt and an absence of practical skills training, can affect the well-being of clergy throughout the church, as well as their ministries. General Considerations & Funding

When the Board considers assistance requests, it carefully weighs each applicant's financial, health, and social needs. All applicants for these programs must complete the appropriate forms, available on this Web site or by calling the Assistance office. The Board of Pensions reserves the right to amend or terminate any of the programs, including the eligibility rules, at any time.

Unlike the Benefits Plan, which is funded by dues, the Assistance Program relies on other funding sources, including half of the Christmas Joy Offering, gifts, legacies directed to the Board of Pensions, and income from endowments.
