Well-Being Retreat 2020 canceled; fall online offering planned

June 08, 2020

We expect to soon announce information about Well-Being Respite, a fall 2020 online offering that will explore dimensions of wholeness.

Mindful of the current global reality and with concern for the health and safety of members and their spouses, the Board of Pensions has made the difficult decision to cancel Well-Being Retreat 2020. This annual retreat, which was to have been held August 17-19 at Montreat Conference Center, is a unique opportunity for participants to become more deeply rooted in their lives and ministries.

As the Board remains steadfastly committed to providing opportunities to focus on the spiritual, health, financial, and vocational dimensions of well-being, it continues designing such opportunities in this time of physical distancing. We expect to soon announce information about Well-Being Respite, a fall 2020 online offering that will explore dimensions of wholeness.

“We recognize that in this time of crisis, the wholeness programming we provide is needed more than ever,” said the Reverend Lori Neff LaRue, Director, Wholeness Education. “While we are deeply disappointed at the cancellation of Well-Being Retreat, we will continue to provide opportunities to explore wholeness, in all its dimensions.”
