Well-Being Assessment a valuable tool for setting health goals

February 26, 2020

“I confess I don’t look forward to filling out the Call to Health [Well-Being] Assessment every year but answering [it] gives me a look into where I’ve made progress in the different areas over the years and where I still have much more room to grow.”

– The Reverend Aaron Fulp-Eickstaedt, Call to Health participant

The Well-Being Assessment is a required activity for Call to Health* each year. But why is it helpful to take the assessment annually? Quite simply, because things change. For example, maybe you started a new job in the past year or got a promotion. You may have moved to a new city, or perhaps you’ve lost a loved one.

The changes we experience, both big and small, impact all dimensions of our lives — spiritual, health, financial, and vocational — sometimes in ways we may not even realize. Completing the Well-Being Assessment each year gives you a snapshot of where you stand with respect to these key dimensions at a given point in time.

A personalized experience

When you complete the Well-Being Assessment, you’ll see your results immediately, including your top three strengths and your top three areas for improvement. You may choose to share your results with your physician. Your answers and results are confidential and are not shared with the Board of Pensions, your employer, or anyone else.

Based on your results, you’ll also see Recommended Categories for You on your Call to Health homepage. Click on Explore under any category (Sleep, for example) to discover dozens of My Choice activities to help you focus on that particular topic.

My Choice activities give you another way to work toward your goals and earn Call to Health points, in addition to regular challenges. Just look for the yellow My Choice flag in the bottom right-hand corner of the activity tile.
