Registration opens soon for annual Well-Being Retreat

May 21, 2019
Each summer, Well-Being Retreat offers active and retired members of the Benefits Plan, and their spouses and surviving spouses, the opportunity to explore wholeness through a spiritual, health, financial, and vocational lens.

The Board of Pensions and the Presbyterian Foundation will once again co-sponsor Well-Being Retreat. This annual gathering, scheduled August 19-21, 2019, at Montreat Conference Center in North Carolina, is an opportunity to participate in fellowship, worship, learning, and reflection, all designed to promote wholeness in your life. Registration for Well-Being Retreat opens June 12.

This year’s theme, Life Is More, draws from Luke 12 to remind us that it is primarily spiritual, not material, pursuits that fulfill us. Jesus teaches us to trust in God’s provision for us. “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you — you of little faith! And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying. … Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” (Luke 12:28-31)

Well-Being Retreat 2019 is an invitation to rest in the more that God provides. It is an opportunity to set our minds and hearts on finding our center in the abundance we find in God.

Each year, Well-Being Retreat features special workshop topics over the three-day event. This year’s topics and speakers include the following:

Active and retired members of the Benefits Plan — including ministers, employees, spouses, and surviving spouses — are welcome.

Well-Being Retreat can help CREDO alumni recall and renew their vows and learnings. For all participants, it offers time away from the usual routines to think, breathe, and renew.
