Help for ministers, employees, and their families in need

October 15, 2019
The Board of Pensions provides financial assistance to more than 1,000 active and retired pastors, employees, and their families in need each year. Through its Assistance Program, it offers many types of grants — all need based — in amounts ranging from a few hundred dollars to many thousands of dollars.

We know that those who answer God’s call cannot bring their best gifts to ministry — or any part of their lives — when deep financial concerns weigh on them. We also know that sometimes retired ministers and employees, and their families, need help with housing and other costs that may be out of reach on a fixed income.

What help is available?

The Assistance Program provides ongoing and one-time grants to eligible Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ministers, employees, and their families. These grants include income and housing supplements for retired ministers and employees, educational debt assistance for active ministers, emergency assistance for active and retired ministers and employees, and more.

Making a difference

Will you join in caring for PC(USA) pastors, employees, and families in need? The funds that support the Assistance Program are freely given by generous individuals, and 100 percent of each gift received supports the program. Please give generously if you can.

If you think you may be eligible to receive a grant through the Assistance Program, we welcome your call at 800-773-7752 (800-PRESPLAN).
