Board increasing Benefits Connect security for members

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect your data, the Board is strengthening the Benefits Connect login process for active members by implementing multifactor authentication.

Starting soon, active members will begin using multifactor authentication to log on to Benefits Connect as part of the Board of Pensions’ ongoing efforts to protect the data of our members and employers. This secure login protection will be in place for when active members log on to Benefits Connect to complete annual enrollment, starting October 28 through November 15.

Multifactor authentication provides banking industry-level security that you are likely familiar with from your personal online banking experiences. It will strengthen the login process to access Benefits Connect in two ways:

  • You will be required to set up a security question.
  • You will be given an option to provide a mobile phone number to receive a text message with a verification code.
