Board increases security of Benefits Connect login process

August 12, 2019

The Board of Pensions is implementing multifactor authentication to strengthen the Benefits Connect login process as part of our ongoing efforts to protect your data.

Beginning the week of August 19, employer representatives will begin using multifactor authentication to log on to Benefits Connect as part of the Board of Pensions’ ongoing efforts to protect the data of our members and employers. This secure login protection provides banking industry-level security that you are likely familiar with from your personal online banking experiences.

Multifactor authentication will strengthen the login process to access Benefits Connect in two ways:

  • You will be required to set up a security question.
  • You will be given an option to provide a mobile phone number to receive a text message with a verification code.

Members will begin using this authentication process to log on to Benefits Connect in October.
