Benefits Connect

Benefits Connect, the Board's benefits website, provides eligible members with access to their personal and benefits information and online tools. It also provides employers with access to information pertinent to their organization's benefits administration responsibilities and online tools.

Registering for Benefits Connect is easy. Just select I am a new user and follow the step-by-step instructions to create your user profile. And be sure to log out when you have finished reviewing or changing your information by clicking Log Out in the upper right of the screen. (If you are using a public computer, you should also clear your browser's cache.)

Many new features have been added to Benefits Connect, with additional enhancements planned for 2017.

Active Members

Who’s Eligible

You are eligible to register for Benefits Connect if your home or mailing address is in the United States and you are enrolled for benefits

  • while in active service;
  • while enrolled in transitional participation coverage;
  • during a no-cost coverage period;
  • through medical continuation coverage;
  • as a seminary student; or
  • as a disabled member.

What You Can Do

  • Register or change your password.
  • Review your personal, dependent, benefits enrollment, and service information.
  • Update contact information.
  • Elect benefits as a new member.
  • Elect or change benefits, and update dependents and beneficiaries, as a result of a qualifying life event.
  • Add beneficiaries, change beneficiary designations, or change allocation among beneficiaries.
  • Estimate future pension benefits.
  • Enjoy single log-on connections to providers' websites.
  • Search for additional information and send requests to the Board through the Resources & Support option at the top of every page.

Retirees and Survivors

Who's Eligible

You are eligible to register for Benefits Connect if your home or mailing address is in the United States, and you are a retiree or surviving spouse of a deceased member receiving a monthly pension payment.

What You Can Do

  • Register or change your password.
  • Access and update personal information.
  • View direct deposit, benefit payment, and tax withholding information.
  • Add beneficiaries, change beneficiary designations, or change allocation among beneficiaries.
  • Obtain a pension verification.
  • Use single log-on connections to providers' websites.
  • Search for additional information and send requests to the Board through the Resources & Support option at the top of every page.

Employers

Who's Eligible

Churches and employers with billing addresses in the United States and currently receiving monthly invoices from the Board can each have one employer representative who can access Benefits Connect. 

What You Can Do

  • Register or change the employer representative password.
  • View and update contact information for the employer representative, Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) representative, and billing representative.
  • Review, update, and confirm employee salary information.
  • Review invoices from the past six months.
  • Enroll members for benefits.
  • Terminate a member's employment.
  • Search for additional information and send requests to the Board through the new Resources & Support option at the top of every page.
  • View your Employer Agreement; model, build, and submit your Agreement at certain times during the year.

Security

Benefits Connect is protected by multiple firewalls and uses 128-bit encryption (HTTPS) to protect your information as it is sent across the internet. This technology protocol is often used to protect payments and other sensitive transactions in corporate information systems.
