The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) deeply appreciates the individuals and organizations whose names are listed in With Appreciation, at right. Their gifts to the Assistance Program in 2015 helped the Church live into its commitment to care for teaching elders, both active and retired.
The gifts helped support opportunities for pastors to develop their leadership potential and to rediscover the passion that first animated their call to ministry. They provided critical financial assistance to teaching elders and other church workers struggling with needs beyond the scope of the Benefits Plan. These gifts helped strengthen the servants of the Church, who nurture the understanding of what it means to follow Christ.
The Assistance Program depends on such gifts as well as legacies, endowment income, and 50 percent of the Christmas Joy Offering; there are no dues to support its work. These donors play a significant role in supporting that work and, so, in proclaiming the good news of the Gospel.
