Out of Gratitude We Give

During the Christmas season, Presbyterians join all Christians in giving thanks for the indescribable gift of the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ (2 Cor 9:15).

Presbyterians express their joy and gratitude in myriad ways, including through the Christmas Joy Offering (CJO), received during Advent, through December 24. This Offering continues a decades-old tradition of equally supporting the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions and Presbyterian-related racial ethnic schools and colleges.

Every congregation's gifts to the Offering are critical to the future of these ministries, especially now when the need for funding is at its height. If you don't already do so, please make the Christmas Joy Offering part of your Advent and Christmas tradition.

More Information …

To learn more about the difference the Christmas Joy Offering makes in the lives of our church workers and their families, read this Minute for Mission story, which gives witness to the Christian love and caring this Offering represents.

Then, please consider how you can support the Assistance Program's mission of caring.

For more information about the CJO, contact Special Offerings at 800-728-7228, ext. 5047, or email

As always, you can give directly to the Assistance Program at at any time during the year, but your gift is especially meaningful now, during this season of sharing God's love.

Thank you for your gifts!
