America Saves Week: Join the Celebration

Join this year's America Saves Week* celebration February 26 through March 3 by boosting your retirement savings — in the Retirement Savings Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (RSP) or your personal savings account — by 1 percent.

According to Fidelity Investments, record keeper for the RSP, over half of all Americans may not be able to pay for necessary expenses during their retirement years. To understand how saving just a small amount more can improve your retirement readiness, read use Fidelity's power of small amounts interactive tool.

Improve Your Financial Well-Being

In addition to celebrating America Saves Week, the Board of Pensions offers many opportunities to focus on improving your financial well-being, including the Board University Personal Finance e-learning series and Call to Health** challenges.

If you don't already participate in the RSP, it may be worth thinking about (or rethinking) how the plan can work for you. RSP participants have access to these additional resources:

If your employer offers the RSP and you're not contributing, ask how to get started. If you already save in the RSP, consider saving 1 percent more.

If you have questions, call Fidelity at 800-343-0860 (mention plan #57887) or the Board of Pensions at 800-773-7752 (800-PRESPLAN) and speak with a service representative.

* America Saves Week (ASW) is a national celebration to encourage employees to save money and plan for the future. Coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council, and started in 2007, ASW is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status.

** Call to Health is available to active Medical Plan members and spouses covered through Highmark (PPO or EPO). Call to Health is not available to members or spouses enrolled in Triple-S, GeoBlue, or the Medicare Supplement Plan.
